This week’s Gunslinger Spotlight focuses in on one our lovable, fluffable Overlords, TTL Dweezle. We’re not exactly sure what he does around here, except that jelly donuts seem to be involved. It’s all very confusing.
Pony: dweez. i may have a huge burden/amazing opportunity to lay at your feet.
Pony: :-D
Dweezle: whats that?
Pony: wanna spotlight interview?
Dweezle: sure
Pony: SWEET.
Dweezle: do i get paid?
Pony: hell yeah you do!
Pony: you get…
Pony: …
Pony: …respect?
Dweezle: i guess i will have to settle for that
Pony: deal with it, heh.
Pony: you busy now?
Dweezle: nope
Dweezle: all ears
Pony: perfect, let’s get this underway.
Pony: first off… how did you pick your gamertag?
Dweezle: it was a video game nickname i had used for years. it comes from the guitarist Dweezil Zappa, the son of Frank Zappa. [Ironically I am listening to one of his songs now]
Pony: it’s not an obsession, it’s love, right?
Dweezle: actually for a long time i never listened to any of his music, just Frank’s, but then i found this sweet dark cover of Hit Me Baby One More Time that he did with his brother Ahmed
Dweezle: but yes, it is love
Dweezle: or rather, appreciation
Pony: doesn’t get much better than a britney spears cover. now, you had a part in the founding of the ‘slingers right? how did that come about?
Dweezle: well Pastor, Wheels and I had previously joined up with Deej, Jericho and Pachango and made NWA Praetorian
Dweezle: which was the precursor to the Gunslingers
Dweezle: we refined our management and wanted to start anew, so we brought with us those still gaming, and the rest is history
Pony: nicely put.
Pony: how about the real world: what does your daily life consist of? jobs? school?
Dweezle: i wake up, go to class, come back to my dorm room, nap, wake up from my nap and begin work on various graphics and work for the blog
Dweezle: then i game and stay up later than i should [which makes me nap the next day]
Dweezle: a vicious cycle
Pony: there’s plenty of time to sleep when you’re dead, right?
Dweezle: exactly, but not much time to game
Pony: ha, damn skippy.
Pony: so back to school talk, what are your plans for a future career?
Dweezle: well i have a passion for biology, but have recently started to put priority on journalism
Dweezle: i think it would be awesome to become a journalist in the gaming industry
Dweezle: who knows though, i also do a fair amount of art and website design so i may do something along those lines
Pony: never hurts to have options right?
Pony: well, let’s finish this up nicely. any last words or parting shots?
