With the busy holiday season coming to a close, and our tummies full of fruitcake, the Gunslinger Spotlights shall resume! This week, I got the pleasure to sit down with Ranger, one of our newer Gunslingers. Don’t know who he is yet? Then what are you waiting for? Click the link!
Pony:: Wanna do this interview thinger?
Ranger:: Sure, sure.
Pony:: SWEET. Alright then, here we go. Leading off… What’s the history behind your gamertag?
Ranger:: Nothing too spectacular. I used to play a text based fantasy RPG online and on the forums I called myself after my character’s profession and name (Ranger Mat). Jumping onto Xbox Live I couldn’t get anything that sounded cool, so I ended up settling with Manger Rat (switchin the letters around). Once I got into TTL and wanted to start representing my brothers and sisters, I put the R from the rat back into the Manger and settled on the current TTL Ranger.
Ranger:: I’ve always been a fan of the idea of a ranger.
Pony:: Wow, that name came from way back.
Ranger:: Ayup.
Ranger:: You trying to make me feel old?
Pony:: <--- is an RPG geek of every kind.
Ranger:: High five.
Pony:: *makes high fiving motion to… the computer screen?”
Ranger:: Ha!
Pony:: Okay okay, question two. How did you find your way to Tied The Leader?
Ranger:: I was shown the way by our minister of the mission, DTS Pastor. I had always been a fan of playing Halo and played a lot on my friends systems, but I didn’t have one of my own until recently. I got a job that made me some money so I could afford some gaming systems, and it turned out one of my co-workers was Pastor. We started talking a little gaming and he sent me a link to TTL.
Ranger:: I really agreed with and believed in the message of TTL, loved the people there, and after talking with Pastor some I decided to try and get in.
Ranger:: So uhm, blame Pastor.
Pony:: *mapquests directions to Pastor’s place*
Pony:: I mean… Ha, thanks Pastor!
Ranger:: :-D
Pony:: Good to see the real life friends/coworker connection bringing people here. Even if you guys sorta HAVE to get along.
