On October 26th, the Tied The leader Gunslingers kept a promise, making their first H3 Challenge against the All Time Favorite - 8 Bit Brigade. As always, with so many people trying to get into the challenge, 2 Teams were formed by each side. Here are the Results for Team Beta:
Game 1: Team Crazy King on Guardian. TTL wins 250-145
The Dance Floor was a place for everything but dancing. Grenade sticks, shields and Hammers were an all around matter in this Game. The fights for the hill were, for lack of a better word, epic. 8BB put up a great fight and made us sweat blood for this victory.
Game 2: CTF on Last Resort. Tied game 0-0.
The score reveals the Carnage. Even though both teams managed to get the flags out of the base more than once, none were able to bring it back for the score. Invisibility made a great deal of difference in this game, it is a hard game to win when you have a good defense.
Game 3: CTF on Narrows: tied Game 2-2.
As with the previous game, it is a difficult match to win with such a good defense on either team. The difference here was that the flag was captured in all four rounds. Rushing for rockets is a big deal, but coordinating your offense makes all the difference. The size of this map made it impossible to make a break for air, even in death screens gamers were making callouts and aiding their teammates. It was a fast, aggressive, nonstop killing game.
Game 4: Assault on Valhalla. TTL wins 2-0.
Even though somebody on our team (*cough BS cough*) thought this was a Neutral Bomb match and left her camping site empty, the Gunslingers managed to get the bomb armed and detonated both rounds. Defense was tough, but Honor Guard did their job the only way they know how: No one leaves alive.
Game 5: team Slayer on Sandtrap. TTL wins 100-70.
The day before this fight took place, 8BB showed what they could do. In a random matchmade game, both teams were matched and 8BB won. This time around, we wouldn`t let that happen again. Laser control and excellent Hog Teamwork made the difference. Sandtrap is one of our favorites and we didn’t want to loose.
