C1NDER One Flag on Last Resort (Fate POV)
Round One, Defense:
First round set the tone for the game with TTL Fate and TTL L askan making sure our team secured both sniper rifles. TTL Fate and TTL Gilthanis played defense outside the base, taking their “defense” straight to their enemies. This mid map defense constantly put a damper on Clan C1nder’s offensive pushes.
Round Two, Offense:
Most rounds we were able to control both sets of snipers. This allowed us to attack the base from all sides with impunity. But getting inside the base seemed much easier than getting out and Clan C1NDER was able to mount a tough defense throughout the round. While TTL was able to make a few flag touches, Clan C1NDER would not let the flag move more than a few feet from the spawn.
Round Three, Defense:
Once again TTL aggressively defended the base, taking the fight to Froman and Bubble Tower on defense. However, our aggressiveness almost got the best of us when C1NDer caught us sleeping and was able to get to the flag out of the base and past the halfway point! A last minute rally of intense defense, and a taking control of C1NDER’s warthog, and the flag was narrowly recovered!
Round Four, Offense:
It was TTLs second offensive push and initially the game looked like it would end in a draw. Once again offense came from all sides of the base. Finally Strike Team Captain TTL L Askan timed his flag rush perfectly with Gilthanis and Al Capown’s Hog rush through the back door of the base. Gilthanis cleaned up with an overkill in the back of the base and Al Capown deftly drove the hog between the incoming defenders, securing L askan’s flag run up the stairs and out of the base. They finally stopped Laskan at laser spawn, but TTL Tortacular was able to keep the flag moving to TTL’s side of the map. There was a final stand at bottom wheel Froman side, but everyone was on the same page offensively and they were able to capture the flag for a 1-0 victory.
This being my first time running a Clan challenge on my own, I’m glad we got matched with Clan C1nder. I couldn’t ask for a nicer, more honorable bunch of Halo gamers to play against. We had a blast guys. Good Game!
