Finally, the first of a series of competitive challenges has come. The Halo3Junkies are the team to battle. And what a battle it was. For the Junkies: Excardon, DoubleCross2, H3J Grunty, Energy Reborn, AngryWheatThins, xNsane, SacredKiller88, xI Your Hero Ix, AngryWheatThins and xATHENAx. Switching players between matches. For TTL GUnslingers: TTL L askan, TTL Bunny, TTL Stuicide, TTL Balzy, Surburned Goose and TTL zeuz patter.
Game1: Assault on Last Resort.
After a few (3) faulty starts due to settings misshaps by yours trully we managed to have a really intense set of rounds. The bomb was armed at least twice per round with the defensive teams hudling succesively on it. Eventually the game ended with a tie 2-2 and a relief that we could manage to get pass the first round on the 4th attempt.
Game2: Multibomb on Sandtrap.
Right at the start H3J lost one of theyr participants due to conection issues and the game was restarted. This gave yourstrully a sence of recovering for the last game. TTL demonstrated theyr love for all things vehicular earning 40 wheelman medals and dominate the fields of Sandtrap with theyr hog leading the way to 3 succesfull armings. H3J outslayed us, but TTL got it together to focus on the objective.
Game 3: Multiflag Valhalla.
If you saw LoTR Battle for Middle Earth you know what happened here. Midfield was the constant terrain for slaughter. Both teams fighting for it was the focus on both teams, sending the discreet strike team here and there. With a total of 13 flag grabs none of them were able to scored due to great deffensive work on both sides. Wraiyhs are hard to keep useful with so many heavy guns on this map, but it is certainly fun to have them. The game ended with a 0-0 tie.
Game 4: Shotty-Snipers KoTH on the Pit.
By now the H3J have overslayed the TTL GUnslingers in every game, but as in previous games the objectve became our focus. We had a goos spread on the map and that gave us an advantage everytime the hill moved. Those are precious seconds when on a Hill game. TTL won 250-213.
Game 5: Slayer on Construct.
I personally feared this one looking back at how we were outslayed o0n the previous games. Indeed H3J did theyr job and did it right. With complete control of the top rooms and excellent team killing the Junkies took the win with a steak bonus, 100-62.
Thanks to the Halo3Junkies for an awsome challenge, it was a lot of fun. It becomes obvious how they dedicate the same hard work to their playing as they do to theyr site. We are proud and lucky to have you as friends.
