Both teams fielded an assortment of players rotating in and out to allow for maximum participation. PG’s team included Heroic Odysseus, LordGideon, kidofthefuture, Smackified, H2C Strong Bad, XSL, Eisen Feuer, Dojorkan, Bulldog8281, Bamb00shka, and Duffman131. DTS Pastor, TTL Stuicide, Fezzer, UtopiaUnknown, americannightmr, TTL Quikthnkr, TTL Gunslinger, l Milk l, Pimpin Boricua, and bs angel made up the TTL Gunslinger team.
Game 1 : TTL Choice : Lowhill on Waterworks : PG wins : GAME STATS LINK
This was our game choice and we have played it more than a few times so we were fairly confident Until the game actually started. While lag plagued both teams evenly, PG adapted very well and managed to control the vehicles with an expertise that was more than impressive. Top killer of this game was kidofthefuture with an awesome 53 kills. 1 minute was needed to achieve the win. When the game had finished and all the PG players had their 1 minute, only 2 Gunslingers had accrued their full time with a 3rd getting 59 seconds. PG was the clear winner in this game with the Gunslingers putting up a valiant effort.
Game 2 : PG Choice : Gulch Wars Multi Flag on Coagulation : Tie : GAME STATS LINK
Next up was a multi flag game with a Gulch Wars twist. Scorpians, hogs, rockets, and snipers ruled the map. Each team battled for mid map control, taking turns dominating it then surrendering it to the other team. This was an epic 30 minute battle that kept an intense pace for the duration of it. l Milk l was the superstar of the game with 44 kills and going an amazing +37. When the clock had run out, each team found themselves scoreless. A tie is a tie and it is not a loss! Yay for the Gunslingers!
Game 3 : TTL Choice : Assault on Terminal : PG wins : GAME STATS LINK
I would not say this game is our bread and butter as 07AH can legitimately claim, but we play it often enough that it is 2nd nature. PG’s first offensive round caught TTL making an all too common mistake, too many people shopping for weapons and leaving the base underguarded. PG capitalized on this and got themselves an arm. Their 2nd offensive round found us much more prepared and we held them off successfully. Both of our offensive rounds were hard fought but a score was not achieved. PG gets a much deserved 1-0 win.
Game 4 : PG Choice : Goldrush Remix on Relic : PG wins : GAME STATS LINK
This game is a PG staple. It is a territories variant that supports the highest number of territories the map will hold. 3 minutes wins each round and first team to win 3 rounds wins the game. First 4 rounds found each team with 2 wins. Last round found PG ahead by mere seconds (I believe it was 3 or 4 seconds they won by). The game was so incredibly close and well fought by both teams. PG barely squeaks by with another well deserved win.
Game 5 : Slayer on Headlong : PG wins : GAME STATS LINK
Typically game 5 serves as a tie breaker if needed in a clan challenge. Obviously PG had already won 3 games so it wasn’t needed but it was played anyway as everybody was having a great time. PG won 50-42 with XSL leading them to victory with 13 kills and going +9.
Despite the fact that there was lag during a few of the games, despite the fact that we battled numerous “failed to load the map” errors, despite the fact that each map took at least a few minutes to load, a good time was had by all. PG showed only the utmost of sportsmanship which was such a breath of fresh air. They displayed their amazing vehicle skills and deserved each and every victory they got. Competitive games in such a positive playing environment is near impossible to find in matchmaking these days. Thank you for the awesome experience PG. Good game.
