One of the prime benefits of the Gunslinger membership is recognizing the Players of the Month . The following are the highlights. Overall we had fewer players participate during March relative to February as players took a break after being on every single night participating in the Halolympics. With the start of the Tour de Halo and several Clan Challenges in April it’s expected that the first full month of spring will be the busiest ever.
Sigh… I honestly wish this wasn’t the case because I don’t enjoy writing about my own exploits. All month I focused on the Tour de Halo so that by the end of the month I only had played three games. So I sat down and poured in the 8 games of my life and won the Overall Player, Facilitator, Shooter, and Defensive Player of the Month. I feel stupid writing that and guilty because I didn’t get a chance to play very many games. I know I don’t deserve the Defensive Player of the Month, that’s for sure. Well, back to the regularly scheduled news story.

For the second consecutive month the Offensive Player of the Month goes to Dweezle86. Dweezle86 did it again by repeating his ridiculous feat from February of averaging more than one flag capture per game (7 caps in 5 games). He also earned points by grabbing (7) and planting (3) the bomb more times than anyone plus a few miscellaneous flag steals (5) and territory time (44 sec). This is why he’s the Strike Team captain and forum moderator. If you find yourself in an objective game with Dweezle86 listen to him and follow his directions.
No matter how you played the bottom line after a game is whether you won. The Conqueror of the Month award recognizes this and in March this belongs to both TheCheat22 and renes. Their .700 winning percentage shatters the previous record (which itself was a record shattering performance) set by Jacklos de Los (.615). Congratulations.
The Facilitator and Shooter of the Month go to CobaltNova yet again! For the third consecutive month he walks away with both awards as the most enabling player and accurate and efficient shooter in the clan.
The amazing thing was that this month’s Facilitator award is that it was won by sweeping the kills, assists, and deaths averages. CobaltNova was first in all three. Every time CobaltNova wins the Facilitator award the memory of the Halolympics is harder to carry. Rumor is that whenever he wakes from a nightmare Cobalt sits bolt upright and screams out, “Stuiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccide!”
